BAUTISMO!!!! Well for a solid confirmation; yes! We had a baptism on Saturday; our recent convert Soledad was baptized 😃 It was such a powerful event to witness the Spirit working in the lives of ALL people. It reminds me of 4 Nephi 1:3 : 3 And they had all things common among them; therefore there were not rich and poor, bond and free, but they were all made free, and partakers of the heavenly gift. WOOHOO! WE ARE ALL PARTAKERS OF GOD'S GIFTS. #tooblessedtobestressed She received the Gift of the Holy Ghost on Sunday! A member of the Stake Presidency gave a talk this same Sunday and bore a super powerful witness of the saving ordinances that everyone has the opportunity to receive.
Bittersweet Goodbye: Transfers! So we received transfer calls Saturday night and I have been transferred to: Las Cruces!! I'm in the Miranda South Area with HERMANA MOSS!!!😆 *cue the concourses of angels* Hermana Moss is legendary incase you didn't know....at least to me haha. I heard about her before I even came in the mission! I met another Sister serving at the Oakland temple before my mission and she told me to "Say Hi to Hermana Moss." We met at transfers the first day I got to the mission and we have been dying to be companions ever since. She was companions with my trainer right before me - so it was only a matter of time! But it's finally happening haha. As you can tell we're super excited to be together, neither of us have been with one companion for more than two transfers.....but I'm pushing for three 😃 The area we're working in is a little tough - missionaries haven't done the best job here and it's adjustment from El Paso, the zone that we're used too - but when grasshopper and his friends get here we are gonna KNOCK. THEM. DEAD. (bug's life reference. I heard Finding Dory just came out so cut me some slack) It was really sad to leave my first area - it's the only area that I've worked in my whole mission! But I'm super excited to have a clean slate and start from the bottom and build up!
Since I've been here we've already had one lesson with a solid investigator! Her name is Elisa and she's been through some really hard things - she told us in the lesson she wants to be baptized on the 18th, THIS WEEKEND! I about fell out of my chair. Because of things that have happened in her past she we have to talk to President Miller and so actually being baptized might be postponed for some time - but we are so excited for her determination and faith to keep growing! (We also had the lesson in the park - I LOVE HOW MANY TREES THERE ARE HERE. Not many.....but more than El Paso......🌲
Well there's not much more, but we are EXCITED! GET PUMPED! Shoutout to my parents who keep reminding me: "Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great." D&C 64:33
