1st zone assignment, El Paso, Texas

Hermana Brown

1st Transfer!

AHOLA! (Aloha + Hola)

This week has been crazy, crazy, crazy and busy, busy, busy!! Lot's of pictures this week! So I have a surprise - I got a hair cut! It's not too much of a big deal, but we have to get excited about the little things here on the mission.

We gained a new investigator, Lupita! She is a friend of one of the people we used to teach and she is awesome! She brought two friends to her first lesson and has so many great question about the gospel! We almost met up to teach at McDonald's but then we went to a park last minute. I was grateful for that because it's funny to teach lessons in a restaurant...but wherever the Lord needs us to teach, we will teach!

We did service at the Michiocan restaurant this week! Yay! Good food and good service! I had an embarrassing moment where we were choosing ice cream flavors and one of them was labeled "Queso Fresa" - which to me directly translated to "Cheese Strawberry". And I went, "Cheese Strawberry? Is that some Mexican thing I don't know about?" Then I started laughing because I realized that it meant the flavor was, "Strawberry Cheesecake" as I got a super weird look from all the other missionaries. Haha Queso Fresa 🍓We also took our investigator to a baptism that happened this week - it was so great to go to a baptism after so long! To remember what happens and those special covenants we make!

This week was so bittersweet - transfers! Both my trainers got transferred and I have a new companion Hermana Brown! So I am excited but sad to see other missionaries go. But we took awesome pictures of the best district ever!

Sorry I ran out of time - more next week! But I love you and God loves you! Don't forget it!
