I know that my Redeemer Lives!
HOLAAAA!
I realized that I totally forgot to mention one of the coolest moments yet!!!!! THE NASHVILLE TRIBUTE BAND CAME TO SING WITH US LAST SUNDAY!! It was incredible. They told a story with their music! All the sister missionaries stood up and sang "Daughters of a Promise" <3 and the choir sang "John's Song", "When the Son of Man Comes Again", and "I Was Born" with them!! and at the end they had eveerybody join in on "The Hardest thing I've ever loved". The Spirit was so strong and we all just got to sing our hearts out!
This week Elder Juan A. Uceda spoke to us about the scripture in Doctrine and Covenants 4:2, "Therefore, O ye that embark in the service of God, see that ye serve him with all your heart, might, mind and strength, that ye may stand blameless before God at the last day." Every night I want to evaluate my heart, might (will), mind, and strength to see if it all went to the Lord that day. I really want to be focused on serving and on helping others, so that's something I learned this week!
My teacher was helping us practice teach. She took on the character of her best friend. They were companions on their missions, they live together and go to school together right now, but because of family problems her friend is no longer active. It was very touching to see how the Spirit would speak to us about what comfort she needed from the Book of Mormon. All 11 of us, as a district, were sharing things with her and the Spirit was so strong! The closing song was "I Know that My Redeemer Lives". :) I don't really know what else to say about it, but it was incredible and it strengthened me!
For some more fun stuff... We had exchanges this week!! which is kind of hard to do in the MTC, especially with a trio of sisters. Hermana Edwards was companions with another sister in our branch so we didn't see her all day! It was just Hna. Seegmiller and I! which was pretty fun!! I love her :) I love both of them! but I realized it's actually a lot harder with a trio. When I didn't know the difference, it was fine! but now it's kinda weird... just because it was a ton easier to make decisions with only 2.. but everything happens for a reason! So I'm learning!!
We made some good goals this week to eat a little healthier! and work out better!! which has been fun, but I guess word got out because this week we received the most packages FILLED with food!!!! hahaha We got a box of sunshine :) and another box with yummy yummy snacks, so we had a chips and salsa fiesta one night... :) We worked out harder the next day ;) We love and are very grateful for snacks!!
Elder Gehrke introduced "Ultimate Tic Tac Toe" to our district, so now, whenever we have free time, the Elders are all over the board.
It has been so fun seeing Sister Dyer and Elder Pearson everywhere here! We had to get a southern fam picture :) and the other elder is from Mississippi so it counts!!
One of the elders in our district's mom order Argentina ties for all 8 of the elders!! 2 of them wandered off when it was time for a picture though... :\ So we snuck a picture with them later! We really have an awesome district and I love learning from them everyday! We have testimony meetings as a district on Sundays and Tuesdays and it is just incredible. I'm excited to see how much more we'll grow in the months to come!
Oh yeah! I've been here for about a month now!!! How cool is that?? We get our flight plans this week and we'll leave in two weeks! :D so cool. Argentina here we come!
I have been praying so hard for all my family and friends! I hope you can feel your Heavenly Father lifting you up and strengthening you! He loves you all so much!! He wants to help you and He wants you to be successful, but you have to turn to Him and do His will. It's so good if you do.
I love you all so much!
Buena Suerte!
