Hola Familia y Amigos!
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all have a wonderful thanksgiving and really think about the things you are greatful for. I will never forget what Hermana Dayton taught me about happiness
and gratitude: "think thoughts of gratitude and contribution all day and you will be the happiest person in the world." So, here's what I am greatful for:
• The Beautiful Country of Spain - I love waking up in the moring and looking out our balcony and seeing the foggy clouds covering the mountains. The light that gradually comes and the
colors of the sky. I love the old buildings and the colors of fall. I love espana.
• Food - claro! This week we ate a lot of cookie dough, we had colombian empanadas and for preparation day today we had thanksgiving dinner with our whole zone and it was delicious and
after we watched Coco! But wow I feel so blessed that people just invite me over to eat and then give me delicious food. The mission is the best.
• The Funny, Weird, and Odd Things That Happen On The Mission - This week we were knocking a building and we started at the top and got all the way down to the last door. I rang the doorbell.
Silence, a little shuffling. I knocked on the door. 3.2 seconds later we hear this huge BANG! Like a firework went off or a gunshot, super super loud and then this man's voice yelling, so I'm like "lo siento!" and skrt for the door but madre mia I almost had
a heart attack.
• People That I Love So Much - I am so so so very greatful for the people I have met here in the mission. It is just so so wonderful to be able to connect with so many people and share
moments with them and make memories. I have really grown to love the people here in Alcoy.
• Espanol - I love being able to speak spanish and understand spanish. It is such a beautiful language and just has so many fun phrases ("ostras!") and it's just so beautiful.
• Ministering - I feel so blessed that I just get to minister to people every day. Sometimes it's taking people's trash out, sometimes it's sharing a scripture or spiritual experience,
sometimes it's just listening and understanding. We learn so much when we minister to other people and we make life-long friends as well.
• The Book of Mormon - I cannot even begin to express how greatful I am for the Book of Mormon. It has changed my life. I know without a doubt that it is true, I love it and I love sharing
it.
• The Privelege it is To Be A Missionary - I feel so greatful that I can be a missionary right now. This is an exciting time and the Lord is hastening his work. He has called us to labor
with Him, during this, the last time he will gather his children and we are so lucky to be instruments in his hands to invite his children to come unto Christ
• Being Able To See The Lord's Hand In His Work - We are His work. He is intricately involved in each one of our lives, taking care of us and guiding us every day, teaching us what He wants
us to learn and making us who He wants us to be. He loves us so much. I know that without any doubt. He loves you so much. He has a plan for your life, and He will never leave you.
• Jesus Christ - Most of all I am so greatful for my Savior. I will be forever and every indebted to him with the highest debt of gratitude. He has saved me. He has loved me unconditionally.
He has forgiven me. He has given me second chances, "paginas en blanco," and He has made it possible for me to be happy and to have abundant life. I love Him and I know that He lives.
I am greatful for each and every single one of you. You have all been so good to me and I love you so much! Thank you for being so wonderful and I hope you have a great thanksgiving and
a very happy week!
Mucho amor,
Hermana Allen
