#24 It's hard to leave Carlos Paz
Hello from San fransico! Argentina style :)
It was so hard to leave Carlos Paz but I am excited for my new adventure with Hermana Cornejo in our new area in Las Varillas.
Wow to be honest I am not really sure how I feel right now. I am just so full of gratitude that I have been surrounded by so many amazing people to love. But It sure doesn’t make leaving easy. I sure love Carlos Paz and the people I have met. Tonite we went around and said goodbye to a couple of people. Alicia and Lolo, and the kids I am so greatful to have been able to help teach them. I told Hermana Bishoff they have to call me on their baptism day and send me some photos. Next we went to Rosane y little Niko. I am so grateful for her and all the things she has taught me.... never again will I eat black beans without a banana on top.:)
Las Varillas is going to be an adventure because we are re-opening the area. The Elders used to be here a while ago but they took them out. So we are excited to get going on our new area. We don’t have an apartment at the moment and probably won’t for a while so we are staying with the hermanas that live in San Fransico until Wednesday until we can find a hotel in Las Varillas to stay at for the next bit. San Fransico is about an hour and a half from our area. So we will be having some fun collective rides.
It’s going to be interesting ..no pension..no area book with a list of the member or investigators. We don’t even have the directions to the church. But we are excited to figure it all out!
Everyone kept saying, your going to Las Varillas…”That’s a special area” and I was like….yes!! but now I’m starting to understand why :) HAHA But it’s not important Hermana Cornejo and I are going to make it our own special area. We are so excited to meet everyone!
San Fransico is not anything like Carlos Paz…. Like at all!! So flat and tons of fields. We had a long four hour collective ride. It was so pretty so I didn’t mind that much and it was fun to get to know hermana Cornejo. Shes from Chile and is so awesome! I’m so excited to work with her and get to know her more. I think Heavenly Father really wants me to learn Spanish because right now I’m living with 4 Latinos who don’t know any English…..ya…hahaha…..oh snap someone help me! :) It’s so beautiful, a little farm town, Its what I imagined Argentina to look like. I cant wait to see what Las Varillas is going to be like. I guess we will find out tomorrow when we venture out there.
Sorry I don’t have much time today will you do me a favor and send me a list of pictures I sent home this week I have so many I was going to send and if I know it will be easier next week if you would do that for me.
I almost forgot, I saw Hermana Wade today!!!! I cant tell you how fun that was!!! Oh man I miss her!
