CDMX has been a ride so far. Ate food at a members house earlier this week and then struggled to walk home. He wouldnt stop bringing us food!! At the same lunch appt. he served us liver in the tacos he was making and it tasted like dirt.. he asked my comp if he liked them and his way of saying no was "the chicken ones were better". That was pretty funny yet so true. Quick story!! We were heading to an appt. and we have walked down this road before but always crosed the road to avoid a group of guys that look like trouble. Well this particular time we were in a hurry and forgot and walked straight through them and this super drugged up guy hopped up into my comps face and was saying a bunch of bad words and saying some pretty rude things. As we tried walking away he got his pitbull and followed us down the road. Unluckily, the house we were going to wasnt very far so he stayed right with us. He was yelling and causing a big scene. No one answered the door so we couldnt escape this guy. We walked into a nearby shop so that we werent facing him alone. A couple of guys tried helping us out. The crappy part was that we couldnt really run because he wouldve sent hs dog after us and the other problem was that he had a huge knife. Kinda goes without saying. My story telling is horrible lol but he got up in my comps face and was poking his chest. I could tell he was doing everything in his power not to punch this dude in the face. Got to be Christlike tho. Somehting about a misson i guess. Anyways after probably 15 minutes the dude calmed down a bit and let us walk away; however, moral of the story.. dont sniff paint thinners.
So our mission boundaries changed and we took a huge stake from the North mission. My zone got sent to this new area and it is so awesome! It is super wealthy and the ward that we are in is so great. We have been here for three days and already have five people wanting to be baptized. I am super excited.
Speaking Spanish is a little rough. And at the end of the day I always cringe at how goofy I am but our lessons are awlays filled with the spirit. A true testiment of the power that the Spirit has in blessing the lives of those who seek Christ. Anyways, I look forward to sharing all of the awesome experiences that are surely to come within the next few weeks in the ward. Thanks to everyone!
