So, this week brought a change of sector and a change of island. I've returned to Tahiti, and am serving in the Pare sector. It's definitely a change of pace here. We have 500 members, but only about 150 or so are active. We have so much work to do, it's great!
There isn't much to say for this week. Most of my time at Takapoto was spent saying goodbye to members, amis, and packing my bags. We had a bunch of feasts, because everyone wanted to throw me a party before I left. Everyone also gave me shell necklaces to say good bye, and I ended up with about 20 kilos of shells. Some members also gave me large flower necklaces, which ended up being about 10 kilos. Almost all of my stuff was sent by boat, which should be getting to Tahiti
Friday. So, I get to spend the next week with about 10 kilos of clothes, books, and toiletries.
Hope everyone is doing well. Sorry again for the short letter. There should be a lot more to talk about next week.
