Conference Was Awesome!

ay yo привееееет!!
This week was amazing! We had Zone conference and we finally got to watch general conference!
I loved the talks especially from Saturday and wow the Solemn assembly was easily one of the coolest things I have ever watched.
The solemn assembly is basically the time when they announce the new Prophet of the church. Each member gets the opportunity to sustain him (support him) in his calling. It seems like it wouldnt be super interesting, but as I was on the other side of the globe in a tiny little room watching general conference on a crappy tv with the sound all messed up, I felt the Spirit of God testifying to me that God really did call President Nelson to be our Prophet. It was so cool and I know that the calling of him is just one more manifestation of our Heavenly Father's love for us. This is the true church on the earth and it is headed by Jesus Christ.
I also went on exchanges with a Sister Training Leader and she whipped my Russian into shape! It was so good! I have so much to learn! We went to my favorite family here, and I realized im going to cry so hard when I leave Irkutsk! The people here deserve the temple. They are so faithful and being a member in Russia is not easy. I thought it was hard in LA but man here is another story. These people are equal to the pioneers for us. They are so receptive to truth and so spiritually mature. I love and admire them all.
It also was my birthday and ever single person has told me that birthdays on the mission are mehhh...
so i decided I was gonna celebrate myself.
because man im 20 years old!
The day before we were running into the store for something and i was trying to figure out what i wanted to eat for my birthday breakfast, when the thought came to me "biscuits and gravy." Every person in the MTC with me knew how much i loved my biscuits and gravy. Man my trainer in Russia knew when i came in 10 pounds heaver than i looked in my picture!
So I bought myself some milk and we were on our way.
We got home later that day and I pull out my milk and im putting it away when Sister Melton says "i didnt know you liked that yogurt."
yOgUrTTT????
I BOUGHT SOME WEIRD YOGURT INSTEAD OF MILK AND I COULDNT MAKE MY DANG BISCUITS AND GRAVY! DANG IT RUSSIAN.
I shed a tear and moved on. I went to bed defeated.
BUT i woke up and found biscuits on the table and gravy on the stove! Sister Wilkinson made me some! it was the best birthday surprise ever! I loved it. Then we got to watch general conference that day and the sweet Smiths took the Elders and Sisters out to eat. It was such a great day. So whoever might tell you that birthdays on the mission stink, ignore them.
I love my Savior I love my mission I love Russia
