God SO LOVED THE WORLD

Friends & Family!!
This will be my last time writing to you from State College :( I am being transferred tomorrow! So SAD! You give your heart to these people and then you have to just up and leave! :( It's tough!! But I am excited for the next adventure.
This week I learned soooo much. It has been a really cool experience because we have been working with a lot of people with strong christian roots. They all have deep faith in their Savior Jesus Christ and are trying their best to follow Him in the best way they know how. But the adversary is rrrreeeeaaalllyyyy good at what he does!! ITS SO HEARTBREAKING! He is twisting the truth and the doctrines of the gospel ever so slightly to pull those who even desire to follow Christ down a different path. I have never been so grateful for the Book of Mormon for teaching me the nature of God. 3 of the people we met with this week have grown up having the idea of a scary wrathful God drilled into their heads and that we are all sinners and don't deserve any happiness. Some of them have been taught that Jesus Christ's sacrifice did not cover all people, but only a select few who would accept Him. In one of the lessons I literally had to fight back tears from streaming down my face. After laying out the Plan of Salvation and getting to share the incredible and infinite mercy and justice of a loving Father in Heaven who has thought of EVERYTHING and has created a PERFECT plan for every single one of His children to have the opportunity to live with Him and their families together forever and continue to learn and grow and progress throughout the eternities, he sat there and said " this can't be true because nobody deserves this, we are sinners." ......GOD LOVES US! In the Bible it says "For God SO LOVED THE WORLD that He gave His Only Begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) God loves His Son Jesus Christ, but it was His love for all of us that allowed Him to give His Son so that He could take on our pains, our weaknesses, our struggles, our mistakes. Jesus Christ is the way--the way for us to overcome our weaknesses, habits, fears, burdens, regrets, and pain--and then have the perfect hope and confidence in His atonement so that we can be better, we can let those things go and allow Him to take the burden. We can feel renewed and closer to God. We can be lifted and then have the strength to love and to lift others.
I am so beyond grateful to be a missionary and get to share this message of joy and hope. My heart is so full of gratitude for having the Gospel in my life and having a testimony of the Restoration that allows me to know who I am as a daughter of an all-powerful, all-loving God. This knowledge changes everything and can change the world--it definitely has changed mine.
Can you imagine what the world would look like if we all knew and truly understood that we were all children of God?! With nothing else, and that knowledge alone, the world would be a completely different place. We would treat ourselves better, we would see others as our brothers and sisters and would see them for the divine worth they possess. I pray with all my heart that we can all continue to strengthen our personal relationship with our Father in Heaven so that we may feel and recognize who we are and then turn it outward to love and serve and lift every single person in our life or may just be passing through.

Try extra hard this week to spread the love okay?! Well, I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH and am always praying for you!
