Pittsboro North Carolina

Magic word that starts with a T

Hi family!

Crazy changes this week.

I am being transferred! Out of the Pitt and into Cary2/YSA. There's a story.

Well first of all they are changing the set up of the mission. Now Sister Training Leaders will be one companionship per zone. So I will be covering all of the Sister companionships in the Zone with my new companion! Best part is that I AM GOING TO BE COMPANIONS WITH SISTER HIGGINS!! She was my MTC companion. We are BFFS. Our last night in the MTC we pinky promised each other we would pray every single night to be companions again in the mission field. IT WORKED. I am so happy. Very sad to be leaving Pittsboro after just 7 weeks but I learned a lot there. Prayers are totally answered. I told President James about it when he called me and he said that the Spirit was very strong when he made that decision. "For after much tribulation come the blessings” D&C 58. The scriptures are true, folks.

More changes- Pittsboro Bishopric was changed on Sunday as well! Bishop Hendricks was released and Bishop Jones was called. They are both amazing men with amazing families, I am so happy I was able to get to know both of them. Keep Bishop Hendricks family in your prayers. His oldest daughter (Dru, 9yrs.) Has had cancer for a long time. She is going through some big challenges right now. Their cute family needs some prayers.

This week was great. We were able to have some great experiences with our members this week. One member in the Beaver Creek ward told us he had a friend in our ward who needed to hear our message. On Sunday we went and taught his friends. They are a sweet couple. The wife is from the Philippines! They lost their daughter in 2004, and their 26 year old son died in a boating accident in February. It was heartbreaking to hear their story and imagine their struggles. They were so kind. You can just tell they are searching for peace and comfort. We taught about why we are here and about God's love. They accepted a Book of Mormon and were excited to read it. The greatest part was seeing the members example and testimony. They love and respect him, and so it was easy for them to accept the message. I love member missionary work!!!

We had 4 member present lessons this week, which is a record in Pittsboro for the last while... I am so grateful for the support of members and how it continues to grow. We are well on our way to having every lesson with a member! It will happen, little by little. :)

I don't have much to write about today, we are busy packing and partying ;) Trying to get everything ready to move in one day is always a blast.

One thing I want to encourage you to do is go to Mormon Channel! Nothing specific, just watch something that looks good. It might just brighten your day! If it does, share it.">

Love you so much! Thanks for everything.
