Hope Mills

Sister Bauer

Transfer Time

Hi Family!

This will be a shorter email, things are crazy around here!

So, for an update... I am being transferred! They are sending in 2 new sisters to take me and Sister Weaver's place in Hope Mills. They are also getting HM 2nd ward it's own set of Elders, so now there will be 3 in our area! That is very exciting. The work here is going to grow so much. It has been a little bit overwhelming this week getting everything together! My wards have stepped in and helped so much. I have had numerous exchanges this week so that we could continue to teach our investigators. It was hard being the only "real" missionary during those lessons all week, but it was also a tender mercy, because I have been praying that I would have opportunities to refine my teaching skills. It was rocky but I learned a lot!

We have 2 baptisms set up for this week and the next. Sad I will be missing them (barely) but it will be good for the new sisters to have something to be excited about! They are coming to the best area in the NCRM!!!! I say that about every area, but I really do mean it. ;)

So I am headed to Pittsboro, NC. From what I have heard there may be more cows than people there, and no confirmation of a Walmart on the premises. They meet in an office building for church, and I can guarantee I'll be coming home with an accent. President has asked that I serve as a Sister Training Leader again. Nervous about the responsibility, President James takes these assignments seriously and they require a lot of time and sacrifice, but it will be fun. I will get to see the Hope Mills Elders at the meetings in Raleigh so I'm happy to be able to stay connected. Also, Sister Higgins, my MTC companion, will be the other Sister Training Leader in the Apex zone!!! I am excited we get to serve together. We will not be companions but will probably do some traveling together to meetings. I found out I was being transferred on Saturday night, and then had a full day of church and lessons from 8am until 9pm, and I packed and cleaned and updated area info all night. Now we are going to get the Hermanas apartment packed and cleaned and ready for the new sisters moving in tomorrow. It has been so exhausting, but being busy makes time FLY!!!! Almost at my year mark! 6 months to go. Woohoo! This is my time to shine!!

I am so grateful for this gospel! I love the Book of Mormon and the Bible and the words of the living Prophet today. I am so grateful for commandments and the opportunity to learn to be obedient to them. I am grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ and that I can be made whole through Him and His Grace. I love this work with all my heart!

Thanks for everything, love y'all!
