Wonders and blessings

This week was amazing.
On Monday I got to spend ALL day with Julie. She came up from Chambersburg to see me. We played Frisbee and went to dinner and it just made my whole soul so happy.

On Tuesday, it felt so good to get back into the grind of the work. We heart-attacked all of our investigators and a few ward members, and then had Valentine's dinner with the Richie family, who have TWO TWIN GIRLS THAT LOOK IDENTICAL TO ABBY AND BRIANNA when they were about four. I stared at them with y mouth open. I thought it was a trick of the eye, it seriously felt like my baby cousins were sitting right in front of me.

Friday was AMAZING.
I had a feeling we should stop by Katie's house, a lady we had met on the street a few weeks back. She let us in immediately and had tears in her eyes as she sat us down and told us she had been praying we would come and see her. She looked at us and pointed right at our face and said, "You two are PROOF that God still loves me." It was really cool. That's the best feeling as a missionary, to know that you are really being used as a tool in the Lord's hands. Her son Nick, who is about 12 years old and is a smart as a whip. They start to tell us about their terrible living situation, their heartbreaking past, and their experience with finding the Lord and realizing this is the past they want to walk. Nick is participating in the conversation like he's 27, I swear, he's smarter than I am. We start to share a little bit about the Book of Mormon and Nick interrupts us about halfway through and looks at his mom and says, "Mom, I think I can tell them about my dream." Nick proceeds to unfold a story about a dream he had a few years ago, where he was walking around a courtyard that was completely white, all around him. He said he looked up and he saw a giant building that looked like the white house, with angels all around it. He said it made him feel so peaceful and he said it must be heaven. I got the chills all up and down my body and I pulled out a picture of the D.C. temple and asked him, "Did it look like this?" and his eyes get all white and he says, "Yes! That's the building!" We explained what it was and why it was so special and then the room got really quiet and Katie looked at her son and said, "Wow. I think we are supposed to be Mormon!" It was awesome. She begged us not to leave. We have an appointment with her today and we are so excited!!!

Also, it always smells like chocolate in my area because the Dove factory is here. Paradise...

Do not forget God's kindness. Have a good week everyone!
