Sister Olsen

Introducing Sister Olsen!

I have a new comp. We started out with a big heap of service. Sister Olsen and I helped Sister Rogers clean out her flooded basement. that was nice. Yep! She is from Preston Idaho... and you KNOW I be singing that Napoleon Dynamite song to her all the time. "My name is Kipling dynamite I live in Preston Idaho" She is awesome. I really like her. She reminds me a lot of Morgan. I already love her. She is very understanding and patient and loving. She loves the Beatles and Castle and Jimmy Fallon and she was Fiona in Shrek the Musical so we have a lot in common to laugh and sing about. We even harmonize and sing musicals. I love her.

It's been a really really REALLY hard week. I know I have said that a lot... but this week it is even more true than ever before. Hardest week of my mission by far. I have to Lead out this area and I honestly am having to have everything on my shoulders because she doesn't know anything about the people. I feel like I'm running around in circles. Haha. I'm hanging in there. the snow still hasn't melted so that's annoying. but everything is slowly returning back to normal.

We had a really cool experience one night as Sister Olsen and I were in despair because neither one of us really knows what we are doing. there was this girl who ran out of her front door, trying to catch her dog and we grabbed it and helped her out. We started chatting and she invited us inside and made us some tea. We started talking about religion, and she told is this really inspiring story of her experience with AA, and how she found Jesus through all the darkness. We dispelled some of her beliefs about Mormons and by the end, she was crying. she said "I see you two and the light in your eyes. I know that running into you was God's way of answering my prayer to help me find light in my life."It was an amazing experience and Sister Olsen and I taught some truths of the Restoration together with the Spirit and It was strong. SUCH a blessing. We have a little gift for her that we are going to drop off today.. a little bag filled with tea and a BOM with our testimony in it. That was a miracle from the Lord indeed. Much needed.

Good news!! Beverly is back on track. We talked to her for a long time yesterday and she said she really wants to get back in the swing of things. She is doing a LOT better with her smoking problem and we have a lesson set up with her on Wednesday. She is going to be baptized. I will say that until the day I die, haha.

Anyway. not much else going on. I'm trying to use the Atonement more in my life... I feel like I've never had to rely upon it so much.

I love you all and I really appreciate your prayers. I'll be home before ya know it!
