Sister Call

Lots of companion and new mission name

Hello family,

This month there has been a lot of stuff going on, but still loads of fun :) Firstly, Krew is out of the hospital and is precious as ever. I know his family would appreciate any prayers that were said on their behalf. He really is the sweetest kid always blowing kisses to everyone he sees.

One of our paras is no longer working at LIFE, so I’ve been able to be a lot more involved with teaching the kids. Which has been a lot of fun! They should be hiring someone new soon which is good because i cant help with their tube feeding or diaper changes. And it’ll make transitions and those things much less stressful for us.

I have a new companion! Her name is Sister Call. She’s serving at Helen’s Hope Chest and loving it. She’s super sweet and an awesome person to be around. Next time I email I’ll get some pictures of us together :) I also had the opportunity two Sunday’s ago to help teach a Young Women’s lesson in a different ward. There were about 20 girls there and I taught and we discussed about how we can be in the world but not of it. Being a missionary and still living at home I’ve been able to develop a testimony about this and just how important it is to know and understand. It was a lot of fun to be able to be back in YW’s and to be able to talk about something that i love. I truly believe that the Spirit was there in that meeting helping me teach because I don’t think that it could have gone any better! It was awesome!

Lastly, some cool news. Our mission name changed, we are no longer the Arizona Young Church-Service Mission. Our mission president has been discussing with Salt Lake and we received an email that said “Effective immediately, there are now two types of young adult missionaries serving in the church: SERVICE and TEACHING.” So our new name is now the Arizona Service Mission. Which is good because our previous name was a mouthful to have to tell people every time 😂 we’ll be getting new badges soon and I’m super excited because mine is pretty jacked from these last 9 months haha.

I’ll be hitting my 9 month mark this next month in October which means that I am half way. In these past 9 months I’ve learned so much about myself and others and the Plan that Heavenly Father has for each of us. Thank you to everyone who has supported me since the beginning and helped me to be the best missionary that I can be as I serve the Lord and the people at LIFE and in the Arizona Service Mission. I love you all!

Love, Sister Wearne
