Week 16 and a Temple trip
So this week not a whole lot happened, but it was still busy as ever!
We were able to go to the Temple in São Paulo last week, and that was such a blessing! It is very different not having my car, or any car for that matter, to drive! We had to take two busses and three metro trains to get there! It took about 3 hours, just one way! Wowzers! Thank goodness it wasnt super hot that day! It was so neat to see all of the missionaries in white in the Temple. It was exactly what i needed, and i look forward to going again in 6 months! After the Temple, we went to the Wal-Mart that is across the street! We were super excited to go to wal-mart because we both miss it dearly! But we were disappointed becuase it was like any other store here in Brasil, only more expensive! We also went to the Deseret Book that is across the srteet! And they had Root-Beer!! Nobody here knows what that is! I was super excited, so i bought some! What a tender mercy!
This week everybody decided to feed us! Haha! It was rediculous! Food is their way of showing love here, and i know that we are very loved! I felt like i was going to burst everyday! Like I couldnt take one more bite of food! I hope it slows down a bit this week! But i cant complain, becuse it is always good food and it is only love! Haha!
We have Ward Missionaries finally! We are excited for this! They will help us teach recent converts, less actives, and even investigators! This will be a great help and a grand blessing for us!
There was a Devotional last night for all of Brasil! It was really great! It was at the CTM and there were the Presidents of the Area of Brasil there; Mazzagardi, Costa, and one more whose name I didnt catch. But it was really neat! It was for all of the youth in Brasil and talked a lot about Missionary Work. I felt like i was back in the CTM for a Sunday Night Devotional! It was raelly great!
The Scripture i will share this week is Alma 12. This chapter is all about Adam and Eve and the Plan of Redemption. I studied it this morning and really enjoyed learning more about the Plan of Happiness. I know that God established this Plan for us out of His love for us. I know that if we live righteously here and make the necessary covenants with God here, we will be able to return to His presence and live with Him and our older Brother, Jesus Christ, and our families for an eternity. I am so grateful to have the Gospel in my life and to have this opportunity to share it with others so that they may have an Eternal Family também.
