We are again at the last week of the transfer! It has been another crazy fun week. Alex got baptized! I was so happy to get to go back for his baptism. He is so amazing. I'm so proud of him and impressed by his desire to keep the commandments and follow Jesus Christ at such a young age. I got to see my trainer, Sister Tanuvasa, at the baptism. Her and I found and taught Alex our two transfers together. It was her last baptism before she goes home next week.
We also had Zone Conference this week and another exchange with the Sisters serving in the Lakeshore area. I was a new missionary, Sister Niutupuivaha, in Lakeshore. It was fun to feel her greenie fire and her strong desire to share the gospel and learn how she can be a better missionary. I love learning from other missionaries.
Dayton has been interesting this week! It seems all of our new investigators have crazy trials thrown at them right after we teach them. I find it interesting the opposition that people experience soon after they begin to learn about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. A few have had family members pass away, others have suddenly been kicked out of their apartment, and others have gotten extremely sick. The list goes on and on.
At church yesterday, we had ward conference. We learned a lot about keeping the Sabbath Day Holy. There are so many amazing blessings that come from keeping the Sabbath Day Holy. We are strengthened and renewed. We feel joy and peace. Our families are strengthened against the adversary. However, all of these blessings are lost when we decide not to observe the Sabbath Day. Why would we want to miss out on all those powerful blessings??
Anyways, I hope y'all have a fantastic week! I miss y'all!
