Elm Creek Ward

Sister Goldsberry

Last Monday, we shopped at Sprouts and I bought 4 Aloe waters because they were on sale:) they're actually good for you not just a hippy thing
I just like the smell of Sprouts and the secret superiority that comes from shopping there...

Tuesday through Wednesday we worked at the temple in video room 1 introducing people to the temple like the whole day!!
Ushers changed about every hour to hour and a half. We were on a rotation that started every hour, so we were "working" for about 20 minutes then we were off for almost an hour. It was fun to talk to everyone!!
Drove like 20 miles on this bumpy road to Okarche Oklahoma to eat at Eischens chicken with Cindy and Jenna. Apparently, it is the oldest bar in Oklahoma but they did have the best fried chicken.

The weather slowed down the traffic through the temple so much that night our last and final tour was a bunch of elders who had spent all day in the pouring rain directing cars!!  Since it was the last tour we went through the temple with them. That was an awesome way to finish the day.

After the temple on Thursday morning sister Keller and I went straight to MLC and had an amazing meeting! The time our mission president has left on his mission is winding down so quickly!!
We hah such a hard time on the drive home to get the Bluetooth to connect to the car... in the process of getting that figured out elder weaver missed the on-ramp to the highway. Twice.

We were going to an appointment Friday afternoon, we walk to the door and it's literally pouring so hard. So we grab an umbrella from the lost and found and book it to the car. Alright. Here's the visual. I have my backpack on kangaroo style. Umbrella in one hand. I barely get down the stairs before the umbrella flips inside out. I'm getting pelted with rain. And I'm screaming. Loudly. I wish I could have seen it go down. I'm sure it was hilarious.
We all had a great visit with Kayleigh. We talked about being happy, our circle of influence. As she was telling us about why she wanted to go into occupational therapy and being able to see the light bulb go off when her students and clients "get it". The spirit-filled me. I saw her goodness. I knew we were there to help her see it too.

On Saturday we went to "pet fest". It seriously was amazing. Dogs from all over Tulsa were there trying to get adopted. Now I couldn't adopt one but I sure as heck could pet every single one of them. We were there for like 2 hours and every second of it was heaven. I'll try to send as many pics as possible.

This week during stake conference I reflected over the span of my mission. The things I've done, what's become my "normal", the people I've met, the lives that have changed mine, overall the new person I'm becoming.
Sister Mansells biggest fear she expressed to us about going home soon is that her friends she's known for years are expecting her to be the same person. Something beautiful happens when you immerse your life in the gospel. I'm grateful for the opportunity I have to not only bring others closer to Christ but become changed myself.

I hope we all have the goal to become "new creatures" in Christ. Come Follow Me study manual - makes it really easy to do now:)

Mosiah 27:25-29
25 Marvel not that all mankind, yea, men and women, all nations, kindreds, tongues and people, must be born again; yea, born of God, changed from their carnal and fallen state, to a state of righteousness, being redeemed of God, becoming his sons and daughters;
26 And thus they become new creatures; and unless they do this, they can in nowise inherit the kingdom of God
28 Nevertheless, after wading through much tribulation, repenting nigh unto death, the Lord in mercy hath seen fit to snatch me out of an everlasting burning, and I am born of God.
29 My soul hath been redeemed from the gall of bitterness and bonds of iniquity. I was in the darkest abyss; but now I behold the marvelous light of God. My soul was racked with eternal torment; but I am snatched, and my soul is pained no more.

If Christ has enough love and forgiveness to forgive and redeem the "vilest of sinners" then there's enough love and forgiveness and redemption for us. no matter what we've done. I promise there's always enough because Christ makes us enough. I am a new creature in Him because of the experiences I've had in the past (almost) 11 months. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ!
have the blessest week of your lives!!!
