#GREENTHINGSGROW

Okay, alright, here we go with the weekly rundown
Tuesday of last week was international apartment cleaning day! Many missionaries would rather read Isaiah than clean for an entire day but 1). Sister Brown and I LOVE cleaning!! 2). Our apartment needed it so bad!!!  It was so refreshing to start a new transfer with a squeaky clean apartment!!
So Wednesday morning sister brown is all packed up, we're trying to load all her stuff in the car and it was raining hard & super windy! The storm was so bad we weren't allowed to leave till we were approved to leave, around 10 and it was still raining. We made it to Edmond safely where it was nice and sunny!! Most people going to transfers already know who their companion is, but being a trainer you get assigned right then and there!! President called the trainers up one by one then assigned them their new companion. I went towards the beginning, I was freaking out!!! But SISTER GOLDSBERRY is my new companion! Shes so tiny and cute.
Signed the wall at the mission home :) got food, mission office, wheeler dealer for their bikes. Poor thing was so tired. Finally got home and settled around 9:30
Went tracting on Friday and the weather was beautiful. We talked to alot of kind people, one guy prayed for us, another lady let us pick dome daffodils from her garden!! We talked to Richard for like 40 min, he's such a cute older guy. We got to set up a return appointment!! We also met Ethan and got a return appointment!!!
We were walking to visit some members in our complex and started talking to alexzia, super cute bubbly and had bright pink hair. Way down to meet w us. But way busy right now. It has been humbling to see when we open our mouths how many people are truly prepared to receive the gospel!!

This past Sunday we had the opportunity to speak in the owasso ward. Sister goldsberry shared this story from the talk "summer of the lambs" October 1989.

This story is about a young girl who was in charge of taking care of 350 lambs:
"All we wanted to do was save our lambs. The hardest part was seeing them die. Every morning we would find five, seven, ten lambs that had died during the night. Some the coyotes got, and others starved to death surrounded by food they couldn’t or wouldn’t eat....
One morning my lamb didn’t come when I called. I found it later that day under the willows by the creek. It was dead. With tears streaming down my face, I picked up my lamb and went to find my father. Looking up at him, I said, “Dad, isn’t there someone who can help us feed our lambs?”
After a long moment he said, “Jayne, once a long, long time ago, someone else said almost those same words. He said, ‘Feed my lambs. … Feed my sheep. … Feed my sheep.’” (John 21:15–17.) Dad put his arms around me and let me cry for a time, then went with me to bury my lamb.
It wasn’t until many years later that I fully realized the meaning of my father’s words. I was pondering the scripture in Moses that says, “For behold, this is my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of [all mankind].” (Moses 1:39.) As I thought about the mission of the Savior, I remembered the summer of the lambs, and, for a few brief moments, I thought I could sense how the Savior must feel with so many lambs to feed, so many souls to save."
Y'ALL. HEAVENLY FATHER HAS EMPLOYED US HIS CHILDREN TO SAVE HIS LAMBS. The "food" of the gospel is RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM and ALL AROUND THEM and sometimes we have to get pretty involved to save them from starving. as a missionary i can only kinda relate to how the Savior feels, when people say "we're pretty happy where we are" but what they don't realize is that no only will the gospel strengthen their relationship with Heavenly Father but it will help them ACHIEVE THEIR HOPES AND DREAMS!!!
our motto this week has been that GREEN THINGS GROW. trying new things, pushing ourselves to GROW!!! because that's what Heavenly Father wants us to do!
LOVE LOVE LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY!!! we have so many exciting things to look forward too!!!
TILL NEXT WEEK!!love sister maloney
