So last week, right after emailing we're walking to the car and 1). its FREEZING and 2). its freaking snowing in Texas! we were not amused, like yay snow but biking in snow it feels like tiny spikes attacking your face. like all i'm trying to do is share the gospel thank you.
CRAZY things have happened this week! but there have been blessings in all of them!
CRAZY #1 our CO detector went off at 1:45am this week. we called sister mansell who answered right away told us to call 911, the fire department shows, up checks everything, turns out we only needed new batteries, so we get our blankets and go to Walmart to get batteries at 2am. Now for the blessing- the cashier lady was way cool, and we're totally gonna teach her! she texted us right after we left and told us she is excited to talk about God with us!! CRAZY #2 Downtown Wichita falls goes ALL OUT for Christmas. Saturday night there was a parade but before the parade there was a City lights 5k- Sister Lewis and I love running and sharing the gospel so of course, we ran the 5k. in dresses. with "light the world" posters on our backs. Blessing- we had so many people asking questions and we found a few potentials!!
We met the sweetest part member family - after the end of our visit the 9-year old asked to say the closing prayer, he said "thanks that the Mormon girls could come over" and then showed us his favorite cow and ducks. I LOVE people!
I know Thanksgiving is this week and while I am so so grateful for the reminder to be grateful to quote Sara Babbel "you can still be grateful with twinkle lights" sooooooo.....I wanna mention LIGHT THE WORLD!! this is a HUGEEE opportunity to introduce friends and family to the gospel in a "not weird way". People love Christmas !!! Watch the videos! Do service! LIGHT THE WORLD!!! as a missionary I am PUMPED FOR THE HOLIDAYS!!!
have the best week ever and remember "being grateful is not a day, it's a lifestyle"
LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH LOVE
