Chapter 5
A few days ago me and the 10 other missionaries in my district all received emails with our flight information for Portugal. It became so real. One more week!
Then last night one of the Sísters found out she had been temporarily reassigned because her visa didn’t come in. Suddenly we were all in a frenzy in the cafeteria, dying to find out. My companion Síster Darnell was reassigned to Boise Idaho, anothers are off to California, Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania, another to her home mission in Canada. I’m the only Síster in my district going straight to Portugal. The energy at the table was incredible, like a second mission call for everyone! It reminded me how much the Lord needs His servants EVERYWHERE, not just overseas but in places like Augusta Georgia or Brandon Mississippi.
Lemme leave y’all with a scripture that stood out to me this week in
Psalms 147:3 “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
4 He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.
5 Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.”
The Lord knows you. He cares about personally. He has you “graven on the palms” of His hands and He has not forgotten you.
