Transfer News!!!!

Hello friends and family :)

The weeks have been flying by and I'm a little confused how it's already monday again?

I'm having the time of my life! We had a church tour with tony and he loved it! We walked past a painting of the joseph smith and the first vision and he said "I can't believe something like this could happen, I mean...DID happen!". Sister durney and I were freaking out! He is so prepared! Although we both felt like we shouldn't bring up baptism with him quite yet so that was a weird feeling but when the spirit restrains you from speaking, dont speak. Hahah

We had a weird tracting day on saturday...haha just picked a wack street. First family were jehovah witnesses and it was a little awkward because I was talking about how much I love Halloween and then asked the kids what they dressed up as and they just said "we don't believe in Halloween..." I was sad for them. Then we walked to thier neighbors house and she had a no trespassing sign but we're not trespassing is we are trying to bring you the gift of eternal life ;) haha. When she found out who we were she screamed SO loud! Told us we were the "slim balls of the earth" and then proceeded to tell at us as we walked down her looooonnnggg driveway. I just smiled and told her that God loved her and then asked her if she needed any service. She didnt like that. Hahaha. Then the next lady was SO nice but kinda in a creepy way. She was talking to us for about 10 mins about her family and what not and then we asked her if she wanted to do her family history. She paused and looked at us and said "I will not take anything from you. Not even your time. It breaks my heart because you are both so sweet and the elders are so sweet but your religion is a hoaks!" And then just smiled at us. She just kept, very politely, bashing on us and I could really tell if I should laugh, be offended, or sad for her! Hahaha we walked away laughing. The last lady in the street was just all out crazy, but we're in oregon so what can you expect! :)

Transfer news came out! I'm staying in veneta with sister durney! I'm so pumped! My trainer is the best! We both are sad that we only have 6 more weeks together hahah. New missionaries come in this Wednesday!!! Finally! I'm so excited to meet all of them! Because we only live 30 mins away from the mission home, they are going to ask us to come help with their first night of tracting and what not! It's going to be a blast!

I love what I do and I'm so thankful to be in oregon! :)

A scripture that I loved this week was in alma 26 (the best missionary chapter ever!) Verse 11-12
11. But Ammon said unto him: I do not boast in my own strength, nor in my own wisdom; but behold, my joy is full, yea, my heart is brim with joy, and I will rejoice in my God.
12. Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever.

We have so much to be grateful for this Thanksgiving season! God has given us everything thing we have and everything we are, let us focus on the the positive in our lives and show Thanksgiving in everything we do!

This month our mission is working on Thanksgiving and service! We are all keeping a gratitude journal and writing 5 things we are grateful for that day and the praying to be able to recognize more throughout the day! I'm super excited to start this so you should all do it with me! :)

I lovd you all! I'm grateful for the gospel, it brings more happiness into you life than anything else and I truly know that jesus christ is at the head of it all.

Dont forget to email me :)
