Blessings everyday

Dont forget to email me!!!

So my first email got sad. Literally the worst feeling ever!

I'm having a great time in the mission field! God is good! Life is so good!

Crazy to think that I have been out on my mission for 2 months already! Where did the time go?

We are still teaching Javier! He still has his baptism on November 2nd but he doesn't see the importance of going to church. Church is SO important! It's a time that God has given us to set aside every stress of the world and focus completely on Him! How lucky are we! It's a time that we get to remember the promises that we made to Him when we were baptized! That we will always remember Him and in turn he blessed us with His spirit and a remission of our sins! I love sundays. They are really my favorite day because I'm surrounded by people who believe the same things as I do and we can help each other grow and learn so we can all make it back to our Father in Heaven someday!

I love this work! It is so fulfilling. It is the hardest thing I've ever done but also the mose rewarding. Sometimes when we are going door to door, its pouring rain, my feet are frozen, I'm soaking wet, and all we get is people telling me "youre the daughter of the devil" or "you are not welcome here" and slamming the door in my face, I question why I'm doing this, why I'm taking 18 months away from my family and friends to be here, and then I remember that Christ did it first. He left his Father in heaven to be ridiculed, hated, spat on, and eventually was lifted up on the cross all because He loved, served, and went about doing good. He was completely sinless, yet he died for my imperfections. If the Savior of the world can do that for me, if the world hates him for spreading truth, I can do it to. And when we do find those who need our message in their lives, who are truly seeking for the saviors light it makes all those bad experiences worth it. It's all worth it! There's a bigger picture! And I'm so grateful to be apart of it as His missionary and witness that He lives and loves us.

Christ said in John 15:18 "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you." We can do all things I Christ! Missions are hard, life is hard, trials are hard, but it's through the sacrifice of our Savior that it is all worth it. That we can know that there is more to this life than just the trials or the bad, that God has created a perfect plan for us to return to Him and Christ is the center! Turn to him in everything you do!

Something I've been really trying hard to work on it doing the little things! Praying multiple times a day, thinking good thoughts, being kinder in my actions! It makes a huge difference! I have grown a greater love for prayer over the past couple of weeks! Prayer is such a great blessing! The most powerful bring in the universe wants to speak to YOU! Everything that is important to you, it important to Him! If you love golf, He loves golf. If you love painting, He loves painting! Our Father in Heaven wants to hear about your joy, you pain, your successes, and you weaknesses! He has given us the opportunity to pray so that we can have that direct connection to heaven! What a blessing! I have found that as I have made my prayers more and more meaningful, I feel a greater love for my Savior, i feel more connected to God and i understand my purpose more clearly!

I love this work! I love being apart of something bigger than myself! I love waking up everyday and knowing that I'm putting Christ name on my chest to stand as His witness! There is nothing more important than that!

As the sons of mosiah say in the book of mormon in Mosiah 27:36

"And thus they were instruments in the hands of God in bringing many to the knowledge of the truth, yea, to the knowledge of their Redeemer."

Let us be the instruments in the Lords hand in bringing that happiness we find from the Savior to everyone! That is where true joy comes from!

I invite all of you to read through Elder Uchtdorf's talk from the past general conference titled "our great adventure" it is one of my favorites! I re-read it this week and it got me so pumped to take on anything that life throws at me!

Thank you for reading all of that!! I will send pictures in another email! Love you all!

Until next week!
Sister white :)
