I can't believe that it has been 5 months since I have been out on a mission. Man it feels really weird.
So to start off the we had Zone conference and it was really fun. I was helping with cleaning the car and I saw a very familiar face. I saw Sister Leilua and just like in the movies and YouTube clips where people run to each other if they haven't seen each other in a long time. Well that's what we did.
In Zone conference we had a power point about the Savior. President Bell had each of us grab a paper and write down the most terrible and hard trials that has happened in your life. There were 12 bad thoughts that we had to write down. I started to cry because I had to remember what those things were and how hard it was to handle. He then had us crumble the paper into a ball and put it into a glass jar.
The glass was almost filled with a ton of bitter thoughts that has happened in a room full of Missionaries. President Bell then covered the jar of bitterness with wine. That was just a part of bitter cup that Jesus Christ had to drink.
He felt EVERY SINGLE BAD THING IN OUR LIVES.
If it wasn't for Christ and what He did for us we would have to deal with those things by ourselves.
We spent Christmas with a ton of members and I got to talk with my family. I was really happy.
Sunday we had to drop Sister Shaffer off at the Mission Home. I miss her a lot. I was really sad when j looked at my watch and it was 4. She is home now. But I know that she is safe. She served her mission and that's what matters.
I am very thankful for everyone that I have met. I love the Ofallon Area. I hope that you all have a fantastic New Year!
