Hermana Pritts

Hola buenos días muchachos!!!

WOW 9 months… never thought I'd make it this far. Thought I'd be home the first week but look where I am now ahah. We got to go to Chick fa la for lunch with the other sisters in our zone to celebrate mine and Hermana Carver's 9-month mark on our mission!!! I tried the frozen lemonade, and it was so good!!! Me and my companion got a pinata to celebrate with along with some confetti cannons and made a whole mess out of our apartment and fun tiny hats to wear. We got to dance to the spic youth album ahah and tried to smack a pinata in our living room (yes, we filled it up with candy). We hanged the pinata on the fan… not a good idea but with a little bit of dental floss it was hanging perfect enough to where I could jump to hit it …I had a broom stick at first to hit it but I almost ended up hitting my comp on accident, so we changed it to a plastic spoon to hit the tiny pinata. It worked well enough, and we spun each other around to hit the pinata and we ended up with a traumatized pinata at the end!!
Onto a more serious matter. This week I have been thinking about how much I've changed and how I have been able to cope with all the trials that have been thrown at me, yet I still pressed forward with faith and WOW I am so happy to have focused on my Heavenly Father and have had him with me through this journey. With the focus on becoming like him through his attribute, it has helped me immensely I know I still have a lot more changing to do, but he is my # 1 supporter. I have had so many learning experiences I just am amazed on how my Spanish and spiritual side has improved. I am on the path of being able to help others feel the change I have felt which is amazing!!!

☆ I had a spiritual impression to just call a grey dot (someone that hasn't been contacted in a while) and they didn't answer but they called us back and it was this lady who wanted us to say a prayer with her, then it turned into answering her questions and then teaching the Plan of Salvation to her which was amazing!!
☆ We have been trying to get more friends at members' dinners and we set up 3 for this week!! It's been a success so far.

Interesting Things That Happened:
○ Had a Stake Conference with an Apostle, Elder Stevenson! He came to talk to everyone and made all the missionaries stand up, while he was talking, he actually looked me in the eyes …like what!!! Never thought that would happen.
○ Got some baby scissors so I could cut all the dead ends off my hair…then I ended up breaking them sadly.
○ We heart attacked a Chinese member's house and made some sticky notes that were in Chinese… It was so cool I'm practically an artist at drawing the symbols.
○ Made this BOMB SMOOTHIE .... email me for the details because it's a genius receipt.
○ Had to wear a Peppa Pig band aid on my head because I picked a scab on my head, and it wouldn't stop bleeding
○ Got slushies at a gas station for 99 cents!!!
○ Had the funniest interaction while giving out stickers to kids and as I gave this one boy a sticker outside, he went to go show his dad and put the sticker on his car! The sticker would not come off and the dad did not like that. Yeah, that was my bad

Spiritual thought:
In search of treasure by Tomas S. Monson in April 2003!
This is a talk me and my companion listened to and it's just amazing and I would like to share a few Quotes from it:
"Learn from the past, prepare for the future, live in the present."
"But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
"Don’t save something only for a special occasion. Every day in your life is a special occasion.”
"There is no tomorrow to remember if we don’t do something today, and to live most fully today, we must do that which is of greatest importance."

Scripture: Helaman 15: 7 and 8
7. And behold, ye do know of yourselves, for ye have witnessed it, that as many of them as are brought to the knowledge of the truth, and to know of the wicked and abominable traditions of their fathers, and are led to believe the holy scriptures, yea, the prophecies of the holy prophets, which are written, which leadeth them to faith on the Lord, and unto repentance, which faith and repentance bringeth a change of heart unto them
8. Therefore, as many as have come to this, ye know of yourselves are firm and steadfast in the faith, and in the thing wherewith they have been made free.
