Hermana Pritts

Hola buenos días muchachos!!!

This week has been a lot more chill than last week, so hopefully you can get through this one without falling asleep. First, I had a Crazy Zone P-day … I played Goat, Cat Cheese, and Pizza and it was quite interesting seeing everyone flinch a lot. The last time I played my hand got cut from a nail but this time was super fun ahah. Our group was a little too intense, but it was a good time we all had fun and I laughed a ton. We also got to play Gator Ball for like 2 hours!!! It's like football and soccer combined and it's crazy fun. I scored 3 goals and I was a beast at the game …I was so sweaty because I was in a sweater which probably wasn't the best idea…. Anyways I ended up kind of hurting my knee somehow and my companion pulled her hip so yeah I guess we are taking a break from that for a while! Afterward at the church, me and my comp had to change and then go to Walmart. We had to switch dresses for the time being because her dress shrunk on her and I was the short one that would fit in it…. Guess I'm useful to wear small clothes ahah

This past week I got to go on exchanges with Hermana Carver who was my MTC companion in Mexico!!! "THE BOYS ARE BACK" (*put the high school musical soundtrack on in the background). She is actually the STL in my area and we got to be together 2 times last week and serve in each other's areas and do actual mission work together!!! It was honestly like seeing a friend back at home so we kept saying it was so weird that this was even happening because here we are 9 months later realizing how far we have come!!! I love her so much so that was pretty epic this week!!!!

☆ Had a lesson with an inactive member and we were able to talk about testimonies she said she would come to church next week and read her patriarchal blessing!!
☆ Ivan, a person we saw at church, stayed for the whole 2 hours, he talked to us and said he would like to come more often!!!
☆We had felt prompted to heart attack an inactive member's door and apparently it was perfect because they called us back later and said that her daughter was about to go to work and she saw the door and it had made her day !!! What made it better was that the daughter told the mom that after the mom had prayed not too long ago!! She hadn't prayed in a long time but when she did she said it was an answer from God to go to church!!! We made her day
☆ Met Oliver Chu and he is just the most amazing person I have taught! He had a notebook out and really loved having us over and set up chairs outside and gave us water. He said he would really try coming to church more and start reading the Book of Mormon !! Then he took a picture with us

Interesting Things That Happened:
○ Zone Monthly meeting (plans for this month for the whole zone) lasted 2 hours long…. So many things that go behind that amazing work!
○ I was able to learn more Mandarin from a member while helping their kid learn English by doing their homework
○Taught an English class with Hermana Carver to the Chinese group and we learned what we don't and do like and I had said "I don't like fish'' They just gasped and were completely shocked … kind of offended and started talking in their native language and talked about how weird I am ahah but it was in a joking way. They invited me to try their fish and I was not looking forward to it at all… but they said they could have a barbecue and pool party so… I guess that's what I get for saying I don't like fish to the Chinese group ahah. They were amazing and we got along so well and had many laughs about how English people use expressions more than tones of our voices to convey what we say.
○ Played the CPR (church, pray, read) cup game with a ton of families in the ward with kids and they really loved all of it!!! It's truly a banger for cool magic tricks
○ Had to give a talk at church about how important member work is… Ginger if you read this I hope you know that you helped me a lot with this one !!!!

Spiritual thought:
Daily Restoration - Elder Uchtdorf October 2021
This is a talk that I would recommend you listen to because this has changed what I do on a daily basis. I use to feel so overwhelmed by so many things to do in a day and be frustrated and let anger set in my heart. As you can tell… you can't let that happen as a missionary. When we try to go about our day without the guidance of the holy ghost we can be lost and go around in circles over and over again. When we are actively listening and doing what the lord asked of us we can seek guidance to know what to do. Now this does not mean being crazy and setting so many goals you have to accomplish them all to achieve that. I've been trying to change day by day to fully get to where I want to be. I set one goal here and there to be able to help me grow spiritually. It is by that we can see our growth. At the end of the day when I say my prayers I go over what I have done and learn how I can improve the next day. Daily restoration is important to refresh our life and start over the next day

Ether 12: 27
And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble, and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.
