MY FIRST FUNERAL

Hola de nuevo, soy yo

My New area is definitely the safest place I've been to yet. It took 2 hours to get down here so it was a fun road trip. There's so much farmland here and there are also a ton of trains. I wake up to the horns going off every morning. All the parks in town are railroads or train themed which is pretty neat. I didn’t get any pictures hopefully next week I can send a few. The ward is mixed with English and Spanish, we are the translators for the members who don't speak English, and we also get to wear cool headphones during sacrament.
I never thought I would be going to a funeral on my mission but boy was it the best one I've been too! Well… not like that …but it definitely left me in all kinds of emotions, I definitely cried so for someone I didn’t even know. It was comforting knowing they understood the plan of salvation. My favorite part of it all was the ending where they played the song " Celebrate good times .. Come on." At that point, I was dancing then had to remind myself that someone had died and I should be a little more respectful ahaha.

Interesting Things That Happened:
○ My brand-new apartment is super nice and the neighborhood is so pretty! I go on runs every morning through the parks with the other sisters … Well I Run …They Walk!!!
○ Gave a 5 mins talk in church to introduce myself.. I winged it
○ I got to shop around town and get cupcakes that were amazing!!!! Got a cookies daughter cupcake

○We get to do Bible/Book of Mormon study here and English class
○ Meet my First Columbian here and she invited us over for some food next time we go over!!!
○ Ate at Chipotle and got the BEST kid's meal of all time !! It was only 5$
○ I Finally got to experience what eating at a member's house is like. They spoil you so much, I had 5 plates fed to me and I almost threw up
○ Zoom into the car picture and you'll find Kermit the frog

Spiritual thought:
God really is real !!!

Storytime... So I was in the car with my companions and it was super windy and cold and my comps wanted to walk to a member's house that was 2 blocks away. I did not want to walk in the freezing cold weather. But I decided to do it anyways because I had no choice 2 against 1 ahah. We started walking and in my head I was like "God please show me a sign that we might meet someone to know that this is the right thing to do, Not even a minute later we meet a person, and then another person. By the end of walking to and from the member's houses, we talked to 10 people and set up 3 return appointments with random people who want to talk to us. I was able to touch the heart of this one lady that was going through a hard time. I felt prompted to share Mosiah 24: 14-15 she was very grateful for us coming over. She started to cry and wanted us to send her that scripture. She also asked us to return and to talk more with her and her mom!! After that, I thought to myself " "Wow" I need to repent for not wanting to walk in the cold "GOD IS REAL" he prepares the path for us and gives us so many blessings when we act upon our faith. Safe to say I'm going to be getting hypothermia because I know there are people out there that need me!

Scripture:
Mosiah 24: 14-15
14 And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions.
15 And now it came to pass that the burdens which were laid upon Alma and his brethren were made light; yea, the Lord did strengthen them that they could bear up their burdens with ease, and they did submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord.
