I hope you all had a blessed fourth of July and that you all enjoyed the good life eating hamburgers and swimming all day. My companion told me "Happy fourth Julie" when I woke up, and it was probably the sweetest thing. I told her that she HAD to wear red white and blue (and I didn't think she would do it). But, when I got out of the shower she had on a red skirt! That's true companionship love haha!
Our week went very well, and we are starting to see some progress here in Estancia. We have been trying really hard to strengthen our relationships with the members. So every night we send a scripture to all of our contacts! I am gonna send you guys a picture of our phone so you can understand how much of a struggle it is haha. But all the members on Sunday were telling us how much they love the scriptures and how much they love us. So for me it's worth it :)
We had English class, and it was a huge success! We had 9 people (2 of them are not members). It was awesome to see, and we know it will grow even more! Something I have learned this week is that just being constant is not enough. We have to keep growing and progressing every day. I feel like here in the mission, it's easy to know what you need to fix or change but when we are home it's a little harder. For example, if we are at home, and we do everything correctly like we read the scriptures, we go to church, we pay our tithing. How can we improve? I promise you all that if you pray and ask God he will show you your weakness. Which sounds not too fun right? BUT WRONG! It gives us the opportunity to become more like our Savior. I have a friend here who says "If you aren't happy, change who you are. If you don't know how to change, be more like Christ. Then surely you will be happy".
I hope you have a great week and that you find some time to share the gospel :)
Love,
Hermana Lindsay
