You mean you don't have cockroaches living in your microwave?
Helloooooo from Mexico Gudalajara!
So much has happened since the last time I sent a group email 2 weeks ago! Last week my companion and I watched one of the new missionaries (yup that's right, I am not a new missionary anymore). In two days, I officaly have three months in the mission, and it feels great! I am making huge progress in my Spanish.
My favorite investigator ever is America! She is 9 years old, and is the most sweet spirit I have ever meet. We are hoping she can get baptized next week. Every Sunday she walks with us to church, and we teach her a couple times a week. She gives the most adorable prayers ever, and I just love her so much. Yesterday my companion and I were doing our studies in the park and she happened to be there with some of her cousins. Somehow she convinced them all to come over and study with us for 30 mins. She translated everything we said into tu form (less formal), and it was so funny and cute haha!
Sometimes I wonder why they call us on missions so young...But this scripture explains it all. Alma 57 vs 27 "Now this was the faith of these of whom I have spoken; they are young, and their minds are firm, and they do put their trust in God continually.”
I am finally adjusting to the food! thank goodness because I really was dying there for a couple of weeks (or months but whose counting right). I can eat, and because I walk so much (LIKE SO MUCH) I haven't gained any weight! I probably walk like 10 miles a day. Mexico is very different, but I love it! And yes, there really are cockroach living in my microwave. If someone knows how to get rid of the bug without destroying the microwave let me know haha!
