Transfer Calls! Sister Glathar is leaving Okinawa and going up to Fukuoka. My new companion is Sister Curtis! I've known her since back in Nagasaki so that will be so fun! I'm way sad to see my best friend Sister Glathar leave but this next transfer will be good. I can't believe it'll be my last but I'll be sure to work my hardest so I can come home tired.
This week we had a lot of days of sunny weather and then random downpour of rain that lasted for about 15 minutes. One day we were biking and it started downpouring and we didn't have any umbrellas or rain suits so we just kept biking and laughing all the way as we are getting soaked.
I don't have a lot of time to write today so I just wanted to talk about a lady we met this week. We knocked into her and she said that she had met the missionaries before a long time ago and recently moved to Okinawa with her family. When we asked her about God she said that she doesn't believe God exists because her husband died recently and she has felt that God must not exist because He wouldn't let him die. We testified to her about the plan of Salvation and she started crying and we asked her "do you think you'll be able to see your husband again?" and she said "if I don't believe in that I can't live." It was such a powerful moment as we testified to her that her family can be forever. I felt at that moment the power in our message and the spirit testified to me how grateful I am to share this message with everyone.
Anyways, Naha is awesome and the work is moving along well. Every day is a new adventure and I have learned just to bike along despite the downpours of life because the sunshine will be back always. :)
Love you all!
