HAPPY 2015!!

Man, this past week has been so full of so many good things. Christmas was awesome- we got to hear from Elder Russel M. Nelson and his wife, and they both gave great talks. There was a missionary talent show later on in the day- some were superr great, some not as much- either way, it was lots of fun. After the phone calls home, we went to a Christmas devotional, and to end the night, we watched Home Alone! Psych. We watched Ephraim's rescue. It was still good though.:)

For Sunday's devotional, we were privileged to hear two very talented performers: Richard Elliott, the main organist for MoTab, and DAVID ARCHULETA! Oh my goodness.. Be still my soul. Just kidding haha. He sang beautifully as always though, and they both spoke about how powerful music can be when used right- I can definitely attest to that. My companion and I have sang in lessons occasionally, and the spirit is always so strong. It's awesome.

The rest of this week was just business as usual. However, as sort of a "new years gift" i guess you could call it, yesterday in the mail we got our FLIGHT PLANS! It was even better than christmas! We head out at 3:35 am on January 12th, and i seriously am so beyond excited. I had the biggest smile on my face alll night. Things are getting real, and it's so cool! I'm going to flippin Japan! I'm going to be so lost there and i'm going to have no idea what's going on in 98% of my conversations, but I know i'm going to meet people there who i'll love soo much. They're going to be my best friends, and i can't wait to get to know them:)

Last night, to celebrate new years, all of the girls in my room opened a bottle of sparkling cider, poured it into our plastic cups, counted down "10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1.. 10:25!!!!!" Yes, we were obedient and we didn't stay up haha. We toasted to the lamest new years ever, and to the best year ahead of us. I get to be a missionary for all of 2015! Lucky me. It's going to be a great year.

This Church is definitely true, and Heavenly Father definitely loves each and every one of his children. I can't wait to be an instrument in his hands for this next year. I hope everyone enjoyed their new years, and I hope everyone has lots of good goals set:) Dekimasu! (you can do it)
