Sister Koford

"Dude..... my palms are super itchy" (At 11pm)

So a few nights ago I took some Alka Seltzer cold medicine becuase I wasnt getting over this dang cold. I took it right when we went to bed at 10:30. But I couldnt get comfortable to fall asleep and we accidently started talking (oops) until I started getting itchy. It was so weird and I thought I was imagining it but then my neck started to itch and my back so I finally got up to go to the bathroom and see what was going on. I looked at my face in the mirror and it was beet red. Everywhere that was itchy was red and starting to get little bumps. Turns out I was having an allergic reaction to the medicine I took. My mission nurse (after we woke her up... I feel so bad about that) could not figure out why I was having an allergic reaction because everything that is in that medicine is in other medicines I have had before AND it had the same stuff that is in Benadryl to help reactions. But regardless she eventually told me to take Benadryl and it helped it go away. Our only guess is I am possibly allergic to Asprin so that was a fun adventure. It made it so we didnt get to bed till about midnight so we were pretty exhausted the next day. haha

Our week has been good. With talking to our families and working hard it turned into a great week. Chen, one of the people we are teaching, is doing so well and it is so much fun to see him slowly making connections and gaining a testimony. But he had to fly back to China early so we wont see him till the 24th. Bintu and Amos are still down visiting family but we were able to facebook skype them this week and we are hoping to do it again a few times this week :)

Sister Koford is doing awesome. She is a go getter and is here to work hard and I love it. She is pushing me to be better!

Well its the New Year tomorrow and I can't believe it. I have been a missionary for the entire year of 2018 and it is the best feeling ever. It will forever be one of my favorite years beacuse I got to be in the service of my God. This year I want to invite all of you to forgive and forget. A man gave a talk on this yesterday and talked about how all of us usually have at least one person that we are having a hard time to forget. We are wallowing in the past and not letting ourselves move forward. Sometimes that person can even be ourselves. Well tomorrow is a new year, one of hope and joy if we let it be. So I want to invite you all to forgive and forget the things that may have happened this year and move forward with faith. Faith is always pointing towards the future. Through the Savior and your faith in Him this year can be the best one yet! Happy New Year!

Love Sister Keller
