Sister Hamblin

They say 7 is a lucky number

Can I just say.. this week was AMAZING! Might as well start with the exciting things first so those of you that don't make it through the entire email know the important stuff. Lol. This week we had 7 investigators come to church. No I didn't miss type that... 7! I kinda felt like a Chicken with its head cut off because we had so many people to talk to and worry about. That doesn't count the three less actives we also had come to church. Overall 10 people came this week and it was amazing! We have been teaching a girl named Vivi from China. I cant remember if I have mentioned her before or not but if not now I have. She is amazing and doing so well! She has come to church the past two weeks and is slowly getting to know the YSA. She is coming to an activity this week and told us she wants to come to church every week! Ya don't hear that very often! Becca is also doing really well. Her trailer is almost done which means she will be moving out hopefully in the next 2 weeks! We also took a Recent Convert with us to try a former we haven't been able to see in over 2 months. Lo and behold she was home and we got a return appointment! #luckycharm Speaking of the Recent convert, her name is Kim and she is amazing. She is doing so well and loving being a member of Christ Church.

This week we met a lot of people and all of them deserve to be in this email but I don't have a lot of time so I am gonna tell you all briefly about two of them. We were tracting one night and met a woman named Karren. Karren wasn't too fond of Mormons let alone Mormon missionaries. Yet we struck up a conversation which led to her inviting us in, having a great conversation and plans to go see her again. Its amazing watching the spirit change the hearts of these people as we are talking to them. I have never seen anything like it and I love watching it happen. There is something about just being a kind person in this world today. Everyone deserves to be treated with kindness no matter who they are. We also were walking on the street a few nights ago and met a woman named Laura who works for Cornell in the Rare Manuscripts department. If any of you know me, you know I love to read so we naturally got along instantly. We ended up talking to her about how Cornell has a first edition Book of Mormon ( how cool is that?). She was the sweetest lady and we got her info to stay in contact with her as well! Its amazing the people you meet!

I also had the chance to try Rabbit this week. Definitely a weird experience it doesn't taste like anything else than Rabbit. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting but probably not something I would opt to eat again in the future. We also went to Stewart park today which is Beautiful! So there are a few pictures from our adventures. Also there is a picture with two little cute kids in the ward on the day Sister Hamblin and I had matching skirts. :)

I love you all so much! My understanding of the Savior has been growing so much in the last few weeks. I have been going through reading and marking all the scriptures that talk about Jesus Christ in the Book of Mormon. I started this over a month ago and I am not even half way which is amazing! One of my favorite titles we give our Savior is the Lamb of God. I invite you all to study why we call Him that and why it is so significant. I know that Jesus is the Christ. Its a knowledge that is still growing and I am so thankful for the many years I have to come to know my Savior.

Have a fantastic week!
