The mother of my daughter
Sur sdeii everyone!
Started the week off strong with a fourth of July celebration with the help of the amazing senior couples. I have never felt more patriotic listening to "Im proud to be an American" and eating hotdogs and hamburgers on Tuesday.
Wednesday I went to exchange again in Takhmao (Black Grandpa) but this time with Sister Tum!
Here I am with black grandpa himself:
Sister Tum is super awesome, she and her mom are the only members in their family. Sister Tum loves to find out answers to her questions through study and then share those answers with her mom. She is also the dedicated "អ្នកលាងចាន" in her house or the person who washes the dishes. So as I went to wash my dish the sisters were like "no! Leave it for Sister Tum haha"
I also got the chance to meet Sister Thoun's mom (my first kid in Kampong Cham) it was so exciting to finally meet her mom (on the right) and her aunt (on the left). They have raised such a great person, Sister Thoun is the best!
Wednesday we got drenched on and I was legitimately cold in Cambodia… we were on our way to visit a member but she was selling food at a cart so we huddled under this little tarp that kind of kept the rain off of us :) and of course we bought some of the meat she was cooking over a small grill
Exchanges with Sister Saavedra! She is from the Philippines and she is so cute. I told her I am so bad at writing in my journal and I didn't even notice but before she left to exchange back she put some candy and a note in my journal and reminded me to write in it haha
We were also able to visit this recent convert who is seriously so awesome she just asks the best questions and is so interested in learning more.
Zone conference! My comp just loves it when I hug her lol. It was so good tho I learned a lot about our potential, trusting in God, and leaving behind our fears and challenges.
