Youth camp is actually just what the elders call zone conference but I thought it was funny… so we had youth camp this week and got to take a 6 hour bus ride to Siem Reap. It was super great learning about how to become better teachers and also keeping in perspective how we want our lives to change in the future because of our missions now.
On Tuesday we went to visit a member and share a lesson with her. Right before I wanted a donut so bad so we stopped and I bought three, one for me and my companion and one extra I wasn't sure for who yet. When we got to the members house I gave it to her. She told me she has never eaten one because she doesn't have enough money (keep in mind donuts are maybe 75 cents) I was kind of shocked because it seems like such a simple thing and made me realize just how difficult people's lives are.
I don't have too much to share but I love you all and hope you have a great week! Here is a great scripture you all should read: Matthew 16:19 "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."
Our Mission President shared this and also talked about our habits, what we do now will carry with us for our lives. So think who do you want to be 10 years from now? And do the things now to prepare to be that person!
