Happy New Year!
Khmer New year is actually insane. The biggest party in KC was literally right next to the church so for three days they blocked off the streets and we had to get off of our bikes and walk because there were too many people in the streets touching our faces with baby powder and spraying us with water guns. Apparently the baby powder and water means that the people love you because after they wash their babies they always put baby powder on them. What started out as a nice tradition has turned into a war on the streets haha.
Well, lot of Cambodians love foreigners and when they saw us coming they pointed us out and made their way over to touch our faces with baby powder and drench us in water. It lowkey freaked me out.
One miracle this week was as we went to Ga Prak we talked to one of our investigators moms who also used to learn with the sisters but she was too busy to meet with them. Because of the new year she wasn't working and let us share a message with her just standing outside her house. She said she still prays and reads the Book of Mormon a little when she has time, which is so awesome! So we shared about Joseph Smith and his question and invited her to pray like he did. I am hoping we can catch her again this week and keep sharing with her!
We were finally able to watch general conference this weekend! It was so good and I just want to share a quick quote "because of Him (Jesus Christ), everything is possible"

I know that the Savior helps us with our imperfections even if it takes a long time before we can overcome our weaknesses. Recently I just feel like I am doing a lot of things wrong but I have hope that through the Savior's grace I can become a better person than I am now.
