Hope you are all doing great! I got to go to Phnom Penh this week for leadership training and it was so good to realize the reason behind all of our goals. I feel a lot more motivated to accomplish them and come up with new ideas to help our zone. Something really awesome I learned was about emotional strength. Missionaries face a lot of rejection and disappointment but so does everyone in their lives (so this applies to anyone). One idea they gave is to see from a larger perspective in our challenging situations. This is good to remember because when things aren't going the way we want we still can know that God sees our efforts. We can know that we are making a difference for good in people's lives even if right now we get caught up in all other other details of our lives.
Story for the week: Our house in Kampong Cham is very old and gross and sometimes the doorknobs decide not to work. Well I have already locked myself out of one of our rooms twice, and Sister seng had to use scissors to get it open. I thought I learned my lesson but I closed a different door and didn't think anything of it until my companion was calling for me and couldn't get in the room. That door had locked and it took a team of four sisters and like 30 min to get it open again. But I think everyone forgave me so it's all good.
I think one of my favorite experiences this week was when we went to a member's house. She's 20, has been a member for a while, and comes to church every week with her sister and mom. But she couldn't explain who Jesus was to us. So we took some time to teach her a short lesson about Christ and I was able to show a cool Easter video I had found earlier that week. I felt the spirit so strong as I translated this video and bore my testimony of Him and all He did for me. And afterwards she helped us find an old lady who comes to church with this member and wants to learn. So we were able to start teaching this old lady with her neighbors there to support her which is a miracle!
That's all for this week. I love you all!
