Hello everyone,
I hope 2023 has been great so far. This week went by so fast I kinda forgot what happened.
For New Years eve we went to our district president's house to eat food with a ton of members. We just stayed for an hour before going home but me and Elder Lang stuffed ourselves with the best bread I have ever eaten.
This week we went and taught a group of teenage girls that are all friends. It is so cool to teach people that are just a little younger than me. They are so smart it's awesome to see them understand what we are sharing. When we showed up they pulled out their Book of Mormon and pamphlets and were ready to read and learn.
Also I turned 20 on Friday which sounds so old but it's kind of a relief because 20 is a lot easier to say in khmer than 19 years old. The highlight was making tacos with some seasoning my mom was somehow able to send me for Christmas and getting surprised with a cake from Sister Seng, Sister Sokha, and Sister Hansen.
As I was studying this week I liked this line from Be Still, My Soul "(God) guides the future as He does the past" I think it's so cool to look back over this last year and think about how God has been guiding my actions. At the beginning of this year I was putting in my mission papers and studying at BYU. Now I am living in Cambodia and trying my best to learn Khmer and serve people I have never met before. It's so crazy but I know that the small decisions we make everyday lead us to the life we are going to live. I know God will guide our futures this year and that He has been with us all this time!
Love you all, enjoy 2023 🐼
