I want to share a scripture from Corinthians 2:7 “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver"
Wow, being cheerful and happy even when it's not really what we want to do is so hard. It takes a lot of trust in God and effort to change our hearts. I want to be a lot better about giving, being patient with people around me, and being happy about it. I know God is definitely giving me many opportunities to do things I don’t want to with a happy heart ;) I encourage everyone to try and find something in your life that you don’t necessarily love doing and find a way to do it cheerfully (or just have a better attitude).
We had some interviews for a few of our teaching friends who are getting baptized next week. One Bong couldn’t come to church because her family’s moto was broken and she lives really far. Thankfully, our district leader has a car so we start off to go to her house for the interview. Unfortunately, the gas gauge or something was broken so we ran out of fuel halfway there and had to pull over to the side of the highway. A really nice man who had a little shop on the highway rode his moto to get us fuel from a gas station. But our car still wouldn't start. Another guy pulled over and helped us start our car and finally we made it to her house. It was a miracle we made it! I know she has such strong faith that Satan is really trying to make sure she doesn’t get baptized so I am praying everything will work out next weekend!
My subject line is laughing all the way because 1. I have been laughed at a lot since I have come to Cambodia. 2. I caught these super cute pictures of our friends laughing and 3. Laughing always helps me feel better! So if you have any funny pictures or stories send them my way!
I love you all, have a great week!
