This week has been busy! And yes my district did get in trouble but it was by accident I promise. Funny story: so all of the new missionaries come every wednesday. Friday morning my district went to the activity field across the street to play sand volleyball for our gym time. When we arrived there was no "coach" there to give us the equipment to play so most people walked back to campus. But we decided to make the most of our gym time and make up games to play instead. Then we decided to play capture the flag with our water bottles and we invited some people who were sitting in the sand to join us (who happened to be the new district in our branch). We start playing and were having a great time when a lady security guard pulls up in her little cart thing and starts yelling at us. She was pretty mad that we were out there without supervision and asked, why we would think it was ok to be out there. Luckily she thought we were all new and she warned us that if it ever happened again it would be going straight to the MTC president. Needless to say, now we know that a bunch of 19 year olds can not play games without supervision and we will not be getting in trouble again haha.
Another fun experience this week was when my companions and I had to teach our first "helping others" lesson in Khmer. I was super nervous before and had no idea what I was doing but luckily the friend we were teaching was super nice and understanding and helped us along during our lesson on the Godhead. Afterwards, I found this great scripture in Psalms 118:8 "It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man" There is no way I could have taught any part of that lesson in khmer without the Holy Ghost helping me along the way. I know that God is helping me and my district to learn khmer a little more everyday. I also know that anyone else who needs help with school, work, friends, or anything else in life you can reach out to God and have that help and strength in your life too!
This week has been tough but it has been fun seeing all of the new missionaries and making new memories!
Love you all email me whenever,
