Wow! Good week AND Mother's Day call. Loved it SO much! I love ya'll SO much!
A lot of planning. We have been doing role plays using the questions to the soul, each taking a turn being the investigator. The amazing thing is that throughout the week, there would be a situation were we would use the scripture that we used in a role play...create what you want to happen spiritually.
One cool experience:
The night before, we were doing a role play on the questions to the soul, using the Book of Mormon to answer the questions. I used the scripture in 3 Nephi 13: 32 "For your Heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you."
Later that day we taught a woman who said she wanted to move on, but her friends and family were holding her back. She didn't know where to start. We read this scripture with her. Then Sister McCreath bore powerful testimony. It was a powerful combination of scripture that fit her need, in addition to Sister McCreath's testimony. Later the woman, Pam, said "Where can I purchase one of these?" We smiled and said, "It is for you. Keep it." She said she was so grateful and asked if we would sign her Book of Mormon. haha
Finding some Filipinos:
Store contacting in Walmart. I saw two women who looked Filipino, so I went up to them and asked them if they were. The woman said yes! She told me her name was Zelena, and her daughter Tricia. She said she was from Cebu. We thought that we would never see them again. A week later we were walking through Walmart again and we walked past the two same Filipino women! I thought, "Wow, what a coincidence....wait there are no coincidences." So we went up to them, talked with them and got their Facebook information. Zelena said she wanted us to come over. There are Filipinos here in Alex City, Alabama....WOHOO
Sister McCreath is so solid. We are working so well together!
PS: we were riding our bikes by the train-tracks and we hear someone yell "Sister Packar...Sister McCreath!" And who is it...It's our boy D'angelo! hahahaha He was so excited to see us!
