This has been a great week! I'm getting so excited to go to Poland!
We got our flight plans and Monday, I'll fly with my district to Amsterdam and then to Warsaw!! We are leaving the same day as the Dutch missionaries going to Belgium/ Netherlands, so we were scheduled for the same flight! But, they all got reassigned because their visas haven't come through yet. Then, on Tuesday night, we had a devotional from Elder and Sister Gay in the presidency of the 70. Their address was very spiritual and he said "The Lord is in the details of your calls and assignments." It was so powerful and I know it was directly for the Dutch missionaries! They are do awesome things wherever they are! Sister Gay said "Everyone is redeemable and everyone is loved by God." She said it is so important to talk with everyone because everyone needs to feel God's love and the redeeming power of Jesus Christ!! It's so true and just talking with people and sincerely caring about their day, and smiling, could be something they really need. It's both humbling and exciting for me to take this to Poland to try and talk with everyone.
On Wednesday, we had our last class with one of our teachers. While we were in class, a group of people were touring the MTC, so we said hi to some. Then a man noticed the Polish on our name tags and said he served in Poland right after the mission opened!! He bore a short testimony in Polish and it was so incredible!! He said that every rejection from people who don't want to hear about the gospel is one step closer to someone who does! I know that was a tender mercy from God!
We went to the temple for the last time today for 17 months! I am going to miss going to the temple but I get to tell the people of Poland to make it to the temple! It's been a blessing being able to go every week at the MTC. Also, Sister Hannah Kilmer came into the MTC!! I love seeing her cute face around and she is the best!!
Also, one night we went to the vending machines for ice cream ;), and we saw some sisters who are going to Tokyo, Japan. They are here at the MTC as the same time as us so we have gotten to know them. We were talking about the languages and our testimonies and one of them started to bare her testimony in Japanese. It was so powerful and she started to cry. I could feel the Holy Ghost when she spoke and could just imagine her doing so much good in Japan. It was also so sweet because it showed how far we have all come from entering the MTC, with the languages and with our testimonies.
Next email is from Poland!! Thank you for all the love and prayers!
