Season 1, Episode 1: 'Pilot'

Buenos night! Hope you all are doing well. This is my 1st mission email wahooo!! Life is so good as a missionary. It is no easy thing, I definitely feel like I'm being stretched, but I wouldn't have it any other way! My companion and district are everything I've ever dreamed of and more!! First off, my companion and I are making plans to run all over Uruguay which I am beyond excited for! Second off, one of the elders in my district is a beatboxer and another is an edm dj/ rapper. Truly the cream of the crop.

My teachers are Hermana Valenzuela and Hermano Sosa! They are the most humble and loving people with the besttttt testimonies! I feel so grateful to be learning from them! The funny this is that they are both teaching from Mexico City, and I feel like there is always a dog barking in the background, many car horns, and a constant bell noise from the trash truck. At least that is what they said that it was... what it was... The tough thing is that their English is not the best, so they often just end up giving the whole lesson in Spanish or resorting to spanglish. The first two days I had a major headache from trying so hard to pick up key-words so I could understand, but I already feel like it is getting easier. Still, I wouldn't have it any other way! I feel like it helps me to learn quicker! Love my teachers!!!

Good thought: This week my comp and I were reading in 1st Nephi chapter 17 where God commands Nephi to build a ship so that they can sail to the Americas. Nephi had no knowledge as to how to build a ship, but he did have faith in God. His brothers called him a fool and tried to make him feel bad. Nephi's response, beginning in verse 26, was to remind them of the many miracles performed for Moses including the parting of the red sea and how the Jews were blessed with sustenance (manna) when they were in the wilderness. (verse 40) "And he loveth those who will have him to be their God. Behold, he loved our fathers, and he covenanted with them, yea, even Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; and he remembered the covenants which he had made; wherefore he did bring them out of the land of Egypt." My point in sharing this is that God loves all of His children so so much. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Don't underestimate the miracles that he can perform in your life. The same God that parted the Red Sea for Moses and helped Nephi to build a boat is also watching over you.

Also I got reassigned to Pheonix Arizona!!!!!!!!!!!!! Them cacti better watch out🏜

Love ya!
