Sister Gershin

hello Lincoln Nebraska

hello everyone!
So transfers happened and I am in a new area with a new companion, sister Munger. She is my "sister" because we both have the same trainer or "mom". I was a little hesitant at first because I know sister Petersen had a hard time training her which isn't the best mind set to have but hey. Anyway, SHE IS THE BEST I absolutely adore her! she is super funny and never stops talking and I just feel like we are going to be awesome friends.
I am in the Holmes Lake ward and it's a pretty big size. Not too much is happening with investigators or anything like that but we are ready to work hard and to teach people about the gospel! The ward members are super friendly and welcoming! I was able to go to a Easter dinner party last night and everyone came up and gave me a hug and told me they where happy that I was here and it was just awesome.
There is a Target and a Chipotle here so I feel like I am back in civilization and it's the best. I really needed a change and I am so happy to be here.
We had an interesting experience contacting on Saturday. We went to the sketchy part of town to tract this apartment building (at the time it seemed like a great idea) there are a bunch of Jehovah's Witnesses we found out. We met this one drunk guy his name was "Chris" because he is a "Christian" and we wanted to share the Book of Mormon with him and he said "I don't need any books, Jesus is in my heart" and like pounded his chest super hard and it was just funny. He turned on the TV and was like "you watch this!" and it was the preacher guy screaming about something I don't know what.. it was just a very interesting experience to say the least. We won't be going back there. haha Welcome to Lincoln!
The rest of the week we just tried referrals and things like that. It has been really great so far and I can't wait to see what the rest of the transfer will be like! I know we are going to do great things I can feel it!
oh! I live in an apartment! I feel super grown up and on my own.. it's weird but cool at the same time. but We are out of money and food so ramen noodles and toast it is! (Just until Wednesday then we can go out to eat at least)!
Anyway I love you all! talk to you next week
It's a good day to be a missionary.
