11 transfers down, 1 to go! Wow! I can hardly believe it! This last transfer seems just to be full of optimism and growth. I can't wait to see what's instore!
So this week has been the BEST EVER! Besides finding out that Sister Terry and I are staying together for my last transfer, we had the most amazing miracle!
I'm not sure if I have mentioned this in past emails or not, but our Mission President gave us a promise that if our zone picked a day to fill every baptismal font in the stake, each companionship would have a baptism on that day. Our zone picked March 30th as the day to fill thefronts. Seeing that March 39th is just around the corner and we weren't teaching anyone that was progressing enough to be baptized o that day, Sister Terry and I were getting really worried. UNTIL WE FOUND KIM!
I talked about finding Kim last week, well turns out she is THE ELECT!!! We had a lesson with her this week and shared with her the plan of Salvation. As we were teaching she stops us and says, " I have gone to so many other Churches and there always seems to be something missing. This was what was missing!"
As we continued to teach she told us more about her husband who passed away. Before he died they promised eachother that whoever died first would come back in some way to tell the other they were okay. She waited and waited but never got her answer that he was okay. We then taught her about the spirit world and how those shows didn't hear about the gospel are learning, her eyes were full of tears. She said, "That's why he didn't come. He was busy". The spirit filled the room and we testified to her that her husband was with us then and that us coming and sharing this message was his way of telling her he was okay. She agreed with us.
This was one of the most spiritual experiences I have had in my mission! I normally wouldn't share such a sacred experience in such great detail but I felt prompted to share this today. I know that it is because of all the prayers that you have given for the missionaries around the world, that we are lead to these people and given the strength to do this great work. Your support and your faith is the support I need each and ever day. Thank you for helping in this great work!
D&C 84:88And whoso receiveth you, there I will be also, for I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up.
I love you all!!!
