Sister Terry

Hey everyone. I am just on cloud nine right now from being able to talk to my family this morning! This week has been another week full of miracles!!! We have met so many people from all over the world and have great conversations about Jesus Christ. We met people from the Philippines, India, Kodiak Alaska, and we even started teaching three different families from Puerto Rico! This experience was actually such a testimony builder to me of following through when acting on the promptings of the spirit!Sister Terry and I are teaching this lady that lives in a trailer park. She is probably the only one that lives there who's first language is English. After visiting this lady Sister Terry and I felt we needed to walk around the area for a little wile. Everyone we walked up to would stare at us with a really confused look and we knew they didn't speak English. We both felt really awkward and out of place. We finally decided to leave and as we pass this lady Sister Terry comments on how nice her trailer looks. It was a weird comment but the funny thing was that I was prompted to say the same thing to this lady. Right away she starts talking to us and telling us about how they just repainted it this summer. Sister Terry and I were stunned. Pretty soon we started talking about the gospel, come to find out she has been looking for a church to go to! Yup! We have an appointment to go back and teach her this week! God is so good!!!We also started teaching another Puerto Rican family. They are so awesome. We knocked on their door, they let us right in, gathered their family to come listen to us, agreed to pray and read the Book of Mormon as a family, and we are going back to teach their family this week! God is so good! One more miracle! This one isn't about a Puerto Rican. Sister Terry and Sister Kellems were on exchanges. They knocked on this door and a college student named Amelia opens the door and lets them right in! Apparently Amelia's family had had missionaries come to her house all the time wile she was in high school but her family was never baptized. They started talking to her and asked if they could share a message. She agreed. As they talked she mentioned that she really had no ide what the Book of Mormon was. They explained that it was a record of Christs teaching in the ancient Americas. She all of the sudden got super excited! It made total sense to her that Christ would speak to all of God's children. They read some of the Book of Mormon with her and we have an appointment to go visit her this week! GOD IS SOOO GOOD!!!!Honestly this week has been full of person trial and struggles but I have been amazed as the Lord has blessed me with so much! He knows our hardships. He knows our sacrifice. And He will always make up to us one hundred fold the trials we go through.Let me leave you with one of my favorite scriptures from my studies this week!Mosiah 221 I say unto you that if ye should serve him who has created you from the beginning, and is preserving you from day to day, by lending you breath, that ye may live and move and do according to your own will, and even supporting you from one moment to another—I say, if ye should serve him with all your whole souls yet ye would be unprofitable servants. I Love you all SOOOOO much! Have a great week!Sister Rich
