I hope you have all had another fantastic week.
So, Sister York left for home today! Which means I am getting a new companion! Sister Kenner. I am so excited. She is such an amazing missionary and We are going to have so much fun together.
Other than helping Sister York pack and listening to TONS of marriage advice. Nothing too crazy has happened this week. We have been working hard and finding lots of people to teach. Nothing can be much beer than that!
So last week I mentioned at the end of my email that someone came up to us at the ward Christmas party and asked to be baptized, so here is the full story to that miracle:
Two weeks ago on Tuesday Sister York had an interview with our mission president. He told her that he wanted her to baptize someone before she went home. Well that was a little tricky since she had two weeks left and we weren't teaching anyone that would be ready for baptism that fast. Our mission president promised her that if she wok hard we would find someone ready for baptism. In our companionship we have been working a lot on exercising faith in the promised blessings of the Lord so we got right to work! Like I said in my email last week, it seemed to be that the harder we worked the more rejection we faced. Even our best efforts seemed to have no result.
Well fast forward a week to our ward Christmas party. Here we are, sitting with a family we are teaching, when we see a woman and her husband walk in. I had never met them before but Sister York got up and talked to them. They were chatting for a little bit when the woman turns to her husband and says, "Should I tell them now?" and then turns to Sister York and says, "I want to be baptized".
Sister York and I were just shocked. After all the hard work we did, the Lord really did fulfill His promise! We met with the family this week and the woman is preparing to be baptized in January after she as her baby! CHRISTMAS MIRACLES ARE REAL!
I love you all so much! Have a fantastic Christmas!
