Good morning my beautiful friends and family!
General Conference this weekend was incredible. My favorite talk was
by Elder Ronald A. Rasband, one of the twelve apostles. It was all
about how God doesn't do things by coincidence, everything is by
divine design. He knows all the little details in our life and He
cares. I really needed to hear that. I will put the link down below
and you should all really go and watch it.
We had Zone Conference on Wednesday and Sister Garrick and I did a
musical number. Now I am getting asked to play the piano all the time.
At Zone Conference we talked a lot about missionary work of course and
at the very end President Smith (one of the counselors to the mission
president) asked a question. He asked, "Do you want to finish the
race?" This hit me like a ton of bricks in multiple ways and it can
apply to you too. Whatever you are dealing with do you want to finish
it. Do you really want it. Because if you do, you can finish it. You
can get it. There are 3 things that can really help. 1. Continue to
always strive to be like Christ. Learn about His character in the New
Testament. Lean on Him. 2. Keep putting one foot in front of the
other. 3. Don't sit down. Don't give up. Just be yourself. Just work
on one thing at a time and master it and then soon you'll be good at
multiple. Whatever you want to accomplish in life you can.
CRAZY MIRACLE: okay so on Sunday we watched general conference with
our investigator Rachel at a members house. There was a talk on
miracles by Elder Hallstrom and right after it Rachel stood up look
puzzled, sat back down, and just looked star struck. We asked her what
happened, if she was okay. She told us that she had surgery on her leg
3 years ago and lost feeling in her knee completely. After the talk on
miracles, she began to have feeling in her knee again. She was
physically healed. It was the craziest experience. We were all
freaking out. She loved general Conference and watched both sessions
when she only planned on watching one. It's been so great to watch her
grow and become the person God has always known she can be.
Well the weeks keep getting faster, I don't even know how that is
possible but it keeps happening. Next week is transfers so I'll talk
to you on Tuesday!
I love you all,
Sister Amy Knox 🌵
P.S. we uploaded a new video of Sister Garrick singing and me playing
the piano on my Facebook called "Where Can I Turn For Peace?" And
after you are done watching that you should watch all of general
Conference because it was AMAZING.
