Happy pdayyyy
I hope everyone is doing greatttI forgot to send my email last week so here's a mix of the past two weeks!!
The other hermanas gave us a reference for a man that moved into our ward that has a baptismal date! He is super awesome and chill and in every lesson he brings his 2 year old daughter who is absolutely the opposite. This girl lives to destroy everything and during every lesson is always trying to rip any decoration of the walls (we usually have our lessons at the church), chuck hymn books and book of mormons at us, steal our bags, and our name tags... shes just a little crazy energetic 2 year old that does not like to listen to la palabra🫣 but every lesson we've had with them has been super spiritual and in really excited to be able to be teaching eddy and helping him come closer to Christ!
As you could expect from any island, its been super rainy lately and that means that any type of tile or slippery sidewalk becomes a no go zone 🙅‍♀️🙅‍♀️ well on saturday I was explaining the difference between ahora mismo, ahora, and ahorita in Dominican spanish vs. Mexican Spanish and got very focused on what I was saying that I didnt realize we were walking right onto the slipperiest tile driveway in the world. I'll let you put 2 and 2 together because soon enough I was smack on the ground 🤦‍♀️at least the only people who saw were my comp and the ice cream man hahaha This day was super eventful for us because we went to the mall to eat lunch and saw a famous Dominican influencer 🤩 jk I had no clue what was going on with this big crowd of people until somebody said his name is "el chino" and hes sooo famous. So if any of you follow el chino on instagram, I saw him record a motorcycle promotion lolol
On thursday we had interviews with President and they are always so so needed. His council and genuine concern for me, my companion, our friends, and our area is so sweet. I love my mission president 🤍🤍🤍
For the 4th of July we were in intercambios so I celebrated in bayona with my old como hermana Draney!! We lit some little candles and sang rhe national anthem and then ate blue and red takis haha how patriotic of us
Then on Friday we ended intercambios and I picked up my girl Guzman and we headed to get her residency done!! While we were there we saw Hermana Yates and her comp and ended up getting lunch with them at Agora mall (that place reminds me of america so much) it was fun and we stopped in a couple of shops including Bath and Body Works were a lotion bottle exploded all over my mouth 🥲
This last Sunday was fast and testimony meeting my favvvv and i shared my testimony for the second to last time in my mission!! As i thought about what to share I thought of an experience i had had that past week when sharing my testimony to a friend. As i was sharing my testimony with this friend about the realness of the Atonement of Christ, the spirit touched my heart and made it known to me that what I was saying was true. It was powerful and brought me to tears as I testified of the love Christ had for every one of us to be able to suffer and sacrifice ALL He had and ALL He was. I am grateful for my testimony and I am grateful for my Savior🤍
Love you all hope you have the best week☺️
TE AMO🤟🤟-hermana Whetten
