Happy pday everyone!!!
I love you all so much and I hope this week was killer!!!
This week we got to go to the temple and it was incredible!!!!! We rode the metro to get there and ended up being way super late haha whoops! But wow the temple is so incredible!! The spirit I felt was so real and so beautiful it truly was such a blessing to enter and feel such peace 🤍 Afterwards we had a little zone conference and I sang with my old comp Bransy and her comp h. Spears! It was so fun to sing with them again!! We listened to a special guest talk about the importance of mental health and she shared so many good insights!!
On Saturday we had a big service project in our stake that we got to help out with! They had a big medical clinic for free and helped out so many people! We got to talk and share messagges with the people there who were in the waiting room. It was so cool meeting so many people and hearing their stories!
On Sunday we had a stake conference and 2 of our new friends came, Peter and Monice!! We offered Peter a ride in the church rented bus but he told us he'd rather walk because he likes the exercise haha so he walked all the way to stake conference! The meeting was so amazing and a member of the 70 was there! It was so cool because the Elder and his wife spoke English, Creol and a little bit of Spanish. They had a couple translators and the whole meeting was a demonstration of the gift of tongues! It was so cool
My name has never been the easiest to pronounce and as I've been on my mission, I've heard lots of failed attempts (for example hermana winters, washington, western, ueter, wheaten, etc) I think I have a new favorite because our girl Monica called me hermana Elder the other day😂😭 I'm not exactly sure how she came up with hermana Elder from hermana Whetten but I guess I'll take it hahaha
During the week nothing too crazy happened just lots of missionary work and we set a baptismal date for one of our friends Jose Luis🥳🥳
