Happy pday everyone I hope this week was as crazy for you guys as it was for us!! Jkjk it really wasn't that crazy, but we were stuck in our house for 2 days during hurricane Franklin.
After a super fun zone pday, we started getting texts about a hurricane that was going to hit the DR within the next couple days. Then Tuesday morning we got the official notice from Pres. Hernandez that we were going to have to stay inside all of Tuesday and Wednesday due to "la tormenta". It was kind of a good thing for us cause we had some catching up to do with our contacts and hermana Yates had a pretty bad cold. Even though we were stuck inside we worked super hard and had tons of phone call lessons and contacts and organized ourselves for the rest of the week! We didn't have any major problems just a leaky ceiling and we accidentally let a toooon of bugs in when we had our windows open. We kindly killed all 10,000 of them and mopped them out of our house 🤗 Other than that I'd say my first hurricane was pretty good and luckily none of our friends had any major damage to their houses!!
Thursday nothing really happened but it was kind of a slow day since people were getting back into work after the break from Franklin. We did get Bible bashed in our Uber and that was super awkward but oh well. Friday we had our interviews with president and they were super awesome!! I love my mission president and his wife sooo so much they are the sweetest people ❤️❤️
This weekend we had some super awesome lessons with some new people we've found and I'm super excited to meet with them more!! Were also trying to put 2 of our friends on date this week so if you could keep Genesis and Diana in your prayers that would be amazing!!
There's been a quote on my mind this week that I have written down and put on my desk (but I forgot who it's from) it says, "may our motive be our love for God and for His children". I love applying this quote to missionary work but I think it can also apply to lots of different aspects of life. If we always let our motivation be led with love, our success will be immeasurable.
I love you all so much and hope this last week in August is the best!!
